The American Contact Dermatitis Society (ACDS) was founded in 1989 and has grown from a small dedicated group of dermatologists focused on contact dermatitis to over 2,500 health care professionals in the field of allergic contact dermatitis and related inflammatory skin diseases. We are committed to advancing the care and understanding of dermatitis and allergy through the promotion of education, research, and advocacy.

ACDS Annual Meeting
The ACDS Annual Meeting is a full day meeting held one day prior to the first day of the American Academy of Dermatology’s Annual Meeting. The Annual Meeting offers you the opportunity to bring your products to the attention of roughly 250 physicians and specialists from all over the world in the field of contact and atopic dermatitis and occupational dermatology. ACDS Fall Meeting
The ACDS Fall Meeting is a two-day meeting focusing on innovations in dermatitis with an emphasis on “What’s New and Hot.” The Fall Meeting offers you the opportunity to bring your products to the attention of roughly 150 physicians and specialists from all over the world in the field of contact and atopic dermatitis and occupational dermatology. Educational and Research Awards and Grants
ACDS offers the below educational and research awards and grants to help encourage research among the specialty. Your partnership and financial contribution to one of these initiatives would help the ACDS expand our reach within each of these specific areas.
- Alexander A. Fisher Lectureship Award is awarded in honor of Alexander Fisher, MD, honoring his contributions to the field of contact dermatitis.
Annual Award of $1,000
- Alexander A. Fisher Resident Award honoring top resident presenters at the Annual Meeting
Annual Awards of $1,500
- Maibach Travel Award for presenters at the Annual Meeting who come from outside the U.S. to encourage a global exchange of information

- Clinical Research Award for young investigators in the sub-specialty
