CAMP 2.0 UpdatesIt’s been a little over a month since the launch of CAMP 2.0 and we have been busy supporting over 13,000 registered users as they adjust to the new system. We are actively working to improve CAMP daily through feedback, product and ingredient reports, and general questions we receive from both patients and ACDS members. Please read below for some important updates and reminders: Expanded Allergen Cross-Reactor OptionsPropolis and Compositae MixCAMP now provides two additional search terms for greater flexibility with fragrance restrictions when creating safe lists for Propolis and Compositae allergic patients: Propolis (with fragrance): choose this option to avoid Propolis and its cross-reactor group and fragrances (either standard or restrictive). Previous CAMP 1.0 users with Propolis allergy are assigned to this allergen. Propolis (without fragrance): Choose this option to only avoid Propolis and its cross-reactor group. Fragrances will not be excluded. Compositae (with fragrance): choose this option to avoid Compositae Mix and its cross reactor group (Sesquiterpene Lactone Mix) and fragrances (either standard or restrictive). Compositae (without fragrance): choose this option to only avoid Compositae Mix and its cross reactor group (Sesquiterpene Lactone Mix). Fragrances will not be excluded. Previous CAMP 1.0 users with Compositae Mix allergy are assigned to this allergen. Methyldibromo Glutaronitrile/Phenoxyethanol (MDBGN/PE)Previously, Methyldibromo Glutaronitrile/Phenoxyethanol (MDBGN/PE), MDBGN, and PE were all part of the MDBGN/PE cross reactor group, and CAMP avoided both allergens in all scenarios. We have created a solution so that patients can avoid only MDBGN or PE, if desired. If you would like your patient to avoid only one allergen (PE or MDBGN), choose PE or MDBGN in the allergen search, and un-click MDBGN/PE in the cross reactor drop-down. You can also choose to only avoid one allergen (PE or MDGBN) within the MDBGN/PE allergen search, by un-checking cross reactors. CAMP 1.0 patient codes for MDBGN/PE will result in MDBGN/PE, PE, and MDBGN being avoided. You can edit CAMP 1.0 codes and un-check cross reactor groups if you would like to make changes. If you want your CAMP 1.0 patient with MDBGN/PE allergy to continue to avoid both MDBGN and PE, no changes are needed. Existing CAMP 2.0 codes also exclude the MDBGN/PE cross reactor group and the default is for all groups to be checked off (MDBGN/PE, PE, MDBGN); these can also be edited if needed. If you want your CAMP 2.0 patient with MDBGN/PE allergy to continue to avoid both MDBGN and PE, no changes are needed. Searchable IngredientsCAMP 2.0 allows physicians to search for over 600+ ingredients when generating safe lists for their patients. This list was constructed based on allergens that are commercially available for patch testing. If there is an allergen that you patch test for that is not searchable in CAMP 2.0, that you would like to be considered for addition to the list, please contact us at campinfo@contactderm.org with your request. Please note, if there are relevant cross-reactors, these need to be included with your request. Due to the complexity of the database, requests for additions will be considered but are not guaranteed. Updating Patient Safe ListsIf you need to update a patient safe list by adding or removing allergens, please use the Update Patient Safe List feature instead of issuing a new set of allergen search codes. CAMP 2.0 is programmed to allow only one code set to be registered under an email address. Each time a patient receives new codes they must reset their current account and complete the registration process over. Updating a patient’s allergen list in CAMP 2.0 is quick and easy! Just click on the Update Patient Safe List option, enter the original codes, and add or remove allergens as needed. Patients will see their updated lists automatically the next time they log into their CAMP account. As always, thank you for your continued patience and support of CAMP. Please do not hesitate to contact us at campinfo@contactderm.org with questions or feedback. |
